for a year were proposed by Trish Lee and seconded by Paul Scrivener as a true
record of the 2010 AGM.
3.
Matters Arising.
There were no matters arising.
4.
Chairman’s Report.
As Ian Kidger was
away, Jim Roy read the chairman’s report. He stated that it had been another
good year for the club, although attendance was slightly down and membership
down from 116 to 113. Congratulations were given to the weekend Victor Ludorum winner, Diana Goodenough.
Thanks were given to the committee, directors, scorers, hosts, team captains,
and the team players. Thanks also went to Trish for taking over the
responsibility for the away weekends and to Norman Oakley for auditing the
accounts.
5. Treasurer’s Report.
Chris Shambrook
presented the accounts for the year ending 31st March 2011. He
thanked Norman Oakley for auditing the accounts and thanked all those who had
collected table money on the weeks when he was absent.
Chris reported that income from table money
was down but our costs were up, because we have paid for Director’s courses,
new sets of boards and we have absorbed the P2P costs. However our reserves are
more than adequate to cope with this and therefore there will be no increase in
table money. The P2P fee increased from 29p to 31p on 1st April
2011.
Chris clarified that any surplus from the
away weekends is absorbed into club funds.
6. Election of Officers for
2011/12.
Chris Shambrook
having completed three years as Treasurer handed over to Mary McRae as the new
Treasurer, proposed by Jim Roy and seconded by Paul Scrivener.
Liz Clark also having completed three years,
stood down as secretary and Elaine Lloyd was elected to the position, proposed
by Jim Roy and seconded by Paul Scrivener.
7. Teams.
Our team in the Berks & Bucks League have
not had such a successful year and will be relegated next season. Ian Kidger is standing down as captain and Reg
Watson will replace him.
Paul Scrivener’s team in the Chiltern League
ended the season in 5th place out of 10 teams. Paul thanked all
those who played in his team.
Loddon’s team in the
Bracknell League will also be relegated down from Division 3.
8. Any other Business.

weekend should sign up as soon as possible.
There being no other business the meeting
finished at 7.40pm.
